After I lost Rachael, I had a lot of time to think about what had happened and what we had gone through by reflecting on the past few month’s and years events and how we could have improved our situation. During this time I came upon the idea of a respite hotel for young adults and their families to have a holiday by the sea.

Here, young adults and their families will be able to enjoy some valuable time together without the hassle and worry of the daily running of the home. Time just to relax and have fun and to gather some very special memories with their loved one.

The idea of Rachael’s House is not just a dream; this is a vision for every family in the southeast with a young person diagnosed with a life limiting illness. In order to achieve this we need to raise £1,000,000

Rachael’s House will offer the gold standard in holiday respite care for all these families, giving them some of the special time that is left, not only to be together, but to also gather those very precious memories of happier moments.
